Chromologics is a Danish biotech start-up responding to the strong market pull for novel natural food colorants. We develop fungal fermentation solutions for the production of natural pigments. Our proprietary production process allows not only for a more sustainable production than existing solutions, but is also cost-competitive. Our pigments are produced by a non-GMO fungus, which makes them compliant with the dietary requirements of broad consumer bases such as kosher, halal, and vegan diets.

The transfer of knowledge from the lab into the world of entrepreneurship has become my latest challenge. The DTU spin-off company Chromologics is based on my PhD research and allows me to twist my angle, and move from an academic mindset to a business-oriented one. I have a passion for communicating knowledge, both in teaching and academic writing. I enjoy supervising students in the lab, showing them good lab practice and opening their minds for their own innovative scientific ideas. I am very ambitious, can quickly familiarize myself with complex assignments and don’t hesitate to execute my plans.
